Vendrick's Blessing and True King's Crown

Obtain the 'Crown Of The Sunken King', 'Crown Of The Old Iron King', and 'Crown Of The Ivory King' from their respective DLCs. Then, enter the Memory Of The King, using the following steps. Open the gates at the Shrine Of Winter, and enter Drangleic Castle. Uncover the hollowed King Vendrick in the Undead Crypt, get the King's Ring, and enter Aldia's Keep. Reach the Ancient Dragon, and obtain the Ashen Mist Heart. Interact with King Vendrick's armor in the chamber at the end of the Undead Crypt to enter the Memory Of The King. Talk to King Vendrick, and for each DLC crown obtained, there will be a specific dialog. If all three have been obtained, each of the crowns will be given a new effect after a short cutscene. While equipped, death no longer results in a hollow, and you cannot be cursed. If you have also defeated King Vendrick and obtained the King's Crown along with the three DLC crowns, it will be upgraded to a new version, named the 'True King's Crown'.

Secret Dragon Memory

Towards the end of the game, you will have to travel to the Dragon Shrine to obtain the Ashen Mist Heart from the Ancient Dragon. The Ashen Mist Heart allows you to travel into the dark memories of the past. You can use the key on hollowed giants in the Forest Of Fallen Giants. You must fight the Giant Lord by entering one of these memories to proceed. However, there is also a secret place to use the Ashen Mist Heart. After obtaining the Ashen Mist Heart, travel to the Duke's Dear Freja arena, and a new crystal will appear under the hollowed dragon. Interact with it to enter the Dragon Memory. You will be taken to an arid wasteland resembling the dragon battleground described in the original Dark Souls. Interact with the ancient dragon's corpse to acquire an Ancient Dragon Soul.

Secret Darklurker Boss fight

The optional Darklurker secret Boss is found in the Dark Chasm Of Old, past a series of extremely challenging enemies. To enter the Dark Chasm Of Old and fight the Darklurker, you must join the 'Pilgrims Of Dark' covenant and reach Rank 2. Complete the listed requirements under the 'Joining covenants and rewards' information below. Once you have opened the gate to the Dark Chasm Of Old, you need to reach and defeat a series of enemies in three sections in the area. Defeat the enemies in each section, and light the sconce at the end with your torch. Light all three braziers and speak with Grandahl to activate the elevator leading to the Darklurker. Note: If you die in the Abyss, you must offer a Human Effigy to Grandahl to re-open the portal. When you are Rank 2 in the covenant, the elevator inside the Dark Chasm Of Old will activate. Travel through the Drangleic Castle portal to reach it.

However, you should focus on the Humanoid Spiders, as they are the ones that drop the Large Titanite Shard. Proceed past the first zip-line, and smash a bookshelf to reveal a secret room. Enter the room, and go through two doors to reach the first couple of Humanoid Spiders. Defeat them, then go back to the room to fight three more Humanoid Spiders. Defeat the spiders, then go outside to drop down near the Quick Sand. There will be three doors, and one of them will have a Bonfire (Lower Brightstone Cove). Travel back to the Humanoid Spiders to get more Titanite. Repeat the process as many times as desired.

Black Gulch: Travel to the Grave Of Saints, and defeat the Rat Boss. Then, proceed to the first Bonfire in The Gutter. Next, go to the Black Gulch to find Black Oil Puddles with enemies coming out of them. These enemies drop Titanite Shards and Titanite Chunks.

Finding Cromwell The Pardoner

Cromwell is located in the second half of Brightstone Cove Tseldora, immediately after the Prowling Magnus and Congregation. Exit the church, then take a left to reach a ladder. Climb it to find him up there.

Finding Felkin The Outcast

Felkin is located at the very beginning of Huntsman's Corpse, before the first bonfire. You will need a base of 8 Faith and Intelligence in order to gain access to him. If you have 20 Faith or Intelligence, he will also give you the Hexer Set and Sunset Staff.

Finding Licia of Lindelt

Licia is first found in the Tower Of Flames after the regular Dragonrider. After exhausting her dialogue, she will move back to Majula at the device that unlocks the Huntsman's corpse on the way to Heide's Tower Of Flames.

Finding Straid of Olaphis

Straid is located in Lost Bastille after the Ruin Sentinels near the bridge to Sinner's Rise, in the opened jail cell. Initially he is petrified, surrounded by five rupturing hollows that deal physical damage. A Fragrant Branch of Yore is required to cure him. One can be obtained at the bottom of The Gutter, immediately before the fog gate to Black Gulch. Once you cure him, he will sell the spells and offer you trading Boss soul services.

Defeating Elana, the Squalid Queen ('Crown Of The Sunken King' DLC)

When the battle starts, rush Elana and inflict as much damage as possible before she is able to react. Besides her skeleton summons, she can use flame attacks and a spear at close range. After the skeletons spawn, back up to avoid an ambush. You can ignore them unless they charge you. While attacking Elana, you will also be hitting the skeletons. Keep moving to avoid Elana's ranged flame spells and move toward her. If you can remain behind her while you attack, you can avoid most of her damage and some of the skeletons. Elana will occasionally teleport, then usually cast another spell when she reappears. Due to the length of her casting time, you can get one or two free hits before dodging the spell. Stay focused on Elana's back and continuously move to avoid her spells and attacks. You will be rewarded with the Soul of Elana, the Squalid Queen for defeating her. The large dragon door behind her will then open. Enter it to find a bonfire and mist doorway that leads to Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon.

Defeating Executioner's Chariot

Kill the first Necromancer enemy and any nearby skeletons in the arena. Remain in the door area, and cast Affinity. It will hit the chariot as it drives past. Repeat this process to defeat the Executioner's Chariot boss without moving further into the area or lowering the gate.

Defeating Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon ('Crown Of The Sunken King' DLC)

When the battle starts, attack Sinh's feet. When he flies into the air, remain underneath or directly behind him to avoid his fire breath. Make sure to get out of the way when he lands if you are directly beneath him to avoid damage. Attack again as soon as he returns to the ground. If Sinh flies away from you, prepare to counter his dive attack. Do this by remaining in motion or rolling out of the way. When Sinh stands on his hind legs, he will breathe fire directly in front of him. While in this position, run toward him and attack his legs or tail. While attacking Sinh's legs, remain moving as soon as he is done with his current attack. While attacking his tail from behind, make sure to roll out of the way if he suddenly spins around. Keep moving in to attack while he is preparing a lengthy attack, then dodge when the attack is ready. You will be rewarded with the Soul of Sinh, the Slumbering Dragon for defeating him. You can also find the Crown of the Sunken King and Yorgh's Ring in the room.

Defeating The Pursuer

Shoot him with one of the Ballista set-pieces in his arena. The aiming will be difficult, but a single shot will take out almost all his health.

Easy 'Covenant Of Ancients' trophy

Find the covenant leader, Magerold of Lanafir, at Iron Keep. He is located just inside the fortress from the first bonfire. You will have to give him the Petrified Egg, which is located in the Dragon Shrine. Once there, go up the steps, and kill the shield-wielding knight. Proceed until you reach two knights in front of a door, with a faith caster on the tower behind you. Do not enter the door; instead get inside the alcove to the left to reach a spiral staircase and become invaded by Dragonfang Villard. The Petrified Egg is behind him. Return to Iron Keep after getting the egg, and give it to Magerold. He will now ask you to join the covenant, and you will get the 'Covenant Of Ancients' trophy.

Easy 'Gathering Of Exiles' trophy

You must relocate the following six NPCs to get the 'Gathering Of Exiles' trophy. Afterwards, talk to Crestfallen Warrior Saulden to get rewards based on how many NPCs you have relocated to keep him company.

Merchant Hag Melentia: She is found at Forest Of Fallen Giants at the Cardinal Tower bonfire. After defeating the Last Giant and exhausting her dialogue, she will relocate to Majula. She is found sitting next to the wall.

Cartographer Cale: He is found at Forest Of Fallen Giants. After the fog gate past the Cardinal Tower bonfire, you will find a giant root. Jump off to the right, then jump off the roof and onto the wooden scaffolding. Enter the cave to find Cale at the top, digging into the ground. Exhaust his dialogue to get the House Key, then return to Majula, and kill the skeleton in the basement. Return to Cale, and exhaust his dialogue to get him to relocate to the map with flames.

Carhillion Of The Fold: He is found at No Man's Wharf, just before the ship. You can move across to the right and up the wooden pier. He will be sitting down. You will need at least a base of 8 Intelligence to talk to him and get him to move. After you exhaust his dialogue, he will move to Majula. You also will no longer require 8 Intelligence to buy from him for the rest of the game.

Stone Trader Chloanne: She is found at Harvest Valley, just after the first bonfire. Exhaust her dialogue, and she will move to Majula.

Laddersmith Gilligan: He is found at Earthen Peak. After the second bonfire, go up the stairs and out the door. Hit the wooden fence to break it, and move to the left along the ledge to meet Gilligan. You can pay 2,000 souls for a ladder to get the Twinkling Titanite, if desired. Exhaust his dialogue, and he will move to Majula. Alternatively, defeat the area Boss to get him to relocate there.

Rosabeth Of Melfia: She is found at Shaded Woods. She is petrified at the entrance. A Fragrant Branch Of Yore is required to heal her. One can be found at the bottom of The Gutter as well as in Harvest Valley. Free her and give her any one piece of equipment. She will then relocate to Majula. Note: Before pulling the lever, rest at the bonfire so that she moves before you get swarmed and she accidentally gets killed.

Easy 'Holder Of The Fort' trophy

Note: You must first have the Ashen Mist Heart from Dragon Shrine. Find Captain Drummond on the ground in the Memory Of Vammar. You can access this memory, near Mild-Mannered Pate's trap in Forest Of Fallen Giants on the other side of the wall, with the Ashen Mist Heart. You must defeat the Giant Lord to inherit his equipment. The Giant Lord is found in the Memory Of Jeigh. To find it, go to the Cardinal Tower bonfire, then climb down the ladder. Cross the bridge, then enter the door and go left to find the King's Gate and the final bonfire of the area. Behind it is the Memory Of Jeigh. Sprint through the area, and ignore the other giants, but watch the falling flames. Stand near the Giant Lord's feet, and dodge as needed until he dies. After defeating the Giant Lord, return to Drummond. Exhaust his dialogue to get his equipment and the 'Holder Of The Fort' trophy.

Easy 'Selfless Giver' trophy

Reach Rank 3 in one of the nine available covenants. Heirs Of The Sun is possibly the easiest covenant to level up in because you only need 30 Sunlight Medals. There are two easy ways to get Sunlight Medals; either win a Boss fight with a Heirs Of The Sun character, or play as a Heirs Of The Sun character yourself and assist another world host. Use an easy to defeat Boss, and keep your sign before the fog gate.

Easy 'Vendrick' trophy

King Vendrick is found in the Undead Crypt when Velstadt has been defeated. Vendrick will ignore you, giving you a chance to first collect the King's Ring. Use heavy attacks (for example, Lightning Spear) until he begins attacking you. A fog door will block your exit until the battle is over. If you choose not to fight him and return later, the fog door will still be there, and you will be forced to fight him immediately. However, if you fight Vendrick directly after defeating Velstadt without leaving, he will be weaker. Vendrick usually has 32 times his defensive stats, but for each Soul of a Giant in your inventory his stats will be halved (32, 16, 8, 4, 2, or 1 times, if you have 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 souls). Vendrick attacks very quickly and does a large amount of damage that will break your stance if you attempt to block them. To defeat him, run in as close as possible and circle him to the right. He attacks more frequently from the left with swipes. Using magic or miracles is not recommended as his attacks are faster than your casting time.

I still remember my first venture into Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin's Forest of the Fallen Giants. Where once there was a clutter of bow and axe-wielding hollows, now stood a blighting Ogre who, if given the chance, would crush pursuers under the weight of its oversized arse. Enemy placement changes, evidently, had reworked the game entirely.

Benzoingum's work-in-progress Enemy Randomizer mod aims to takes this element of surprise one step further, by allowing players to shift and change the layout of SotFS's baddies by their own volition.

The mod grants players access to a cheat table, allowing them to spawn enemies in three different settings: at random across the board, in patterns which are 'lore friendly', and where bosses appear in regular enemy locations. My skin now crawls at the thought of a Blue Smelter Demon parading the ramshackle catwalks of No Man's Wharf. No thank you.

At present, benzoingum's mod only supports a few of the game's levels—full details of which can be found on the mod's corner of Nexus Mods. Here's some screens of enemies in unusual situations:

With the thought of Scholar of the First Sin's bosses spawning beyond their dedicated arenas, what's the worst combinations you can think of?
