This is an issue that is very frustrating and I hope this can be fixed. So in short, I've been using Aslain's Mod pack for approximately 1 and 1/2 years of playing WoWs, without any problems mind you. About 1-2 months ago, I noticed that WoWs was on steam and downloaded it and along with it Aslain's mod pack.
I played through a full patch with no problems whatsoever, until about 3 weeks ago when I received an email from WG claiming that I had used illegal mods (this will become very interesting in a second). Obviously I contested this because I did not believe it to be accurate and asked what mod within Aslain's modpack was faulty. The response I received detailed that I, in fact did use illegal mods because, 'Aslain's modpack is not officially endorsed by Wargaming'. Additionally, the representative stated that he believes that one mod that could possibly troublesome, is the changing of shell tracers (i.e. elongating them, changing colors so that its easier to pin point their origin. [fair argument and somewhat helpful]). Not being fully satisfied, I put in another ticket and received information, from a second representative, about the EULA (End Users License Agreement), which of course did not help my understanding.
So after a couple days, I decided to uninstall World of Warships Steam version, and from the recommendation of the first representative, I also uninstalled (using control panel method) Aslain's mod pack. I did this because I don't want this to happen again so I tried to eliminate all possibilities that there is a random file somewhere that is causing the problem. I then went to World of Warships' website and downloaded the game. The first representative (who was most helpful) also gave me a link to a forum post by SuperNikoPower about allowed, not-allowed and grey area mods. On that forum post, was also Wargaming's (WG) official and approved mod pack, made by WG themselves. I installed both of these in a new folder, independent of my steam folder and thought that everything would be okay.
While installing WG's Mod pack, I noticed that it contained every single mod that I was personally using in Aslain's Mod pack (i.e. navigator mod, elongated and different colored shell tracers, and mini-map mods). I found this extremely confusing and can only attribute the reason that I received a strike was because it was 3rd party and not officially approved by WG.
Then, two days ago I received a second email stating that I had received a 7 day ban on my account. This just after I played a few ranked matches (which went well for the 'cancer' that ranked is). At this point I was dumbfounded and extremely frustrated. I had attempted to do everything in my power to not let this happen again. The first strike that I received at least had some amount of merit to it and made some sort of logical sense. The second strike was completely and utterly wrong. How can I possibly get banned for using an APPROVED and OFFICIAL modpack that is put out by WG themselves? That is where my problem is. That is where my confusion is. This has to be a mistake on WG's side of things. How can I be sure that I won't get struck again for simply playing the game WITHOUT any mods, whether it be Aslains or WG. Do I even risk playing the game at this point?.... PLEASE HELP!!!

Aslain's Mod pack is basically a legendary collection of some of the best (and legit allowed by the Wow dev team) mods that can really take Wow gaming to another level. I'd give it 6 stars if I could!'Thanks for voting! Please tell us why you like it!
